Title: In-Vehicle Network

Abstract:Recently, electric cars are beginning to be commercially sold worldwide. At the same time, the smart grids for intelligent electric energy distribution encompassing solar and wind power generators are beginning to be deployed. In addition, so many infotainment devices such as monitors, cameras, sensors, and radars are beginning to be installed in a vehicle. This creates strong demand for a broad band vehicle network (IVN). In addition, Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) communications are gaining attraction because they are proven to minimize accidents. Now these devices in cars need to communicate each other and also with devices in other cars through the smart grid infrastructure and wirelessly. In this lecture, those will be discussed with more detail and IVN technologies will be introduced with more depth.
